For timber production export are used two quays – No.1 and No.4, theoretically on these quays it is possible to process 800 thousands m3 cargo per year. According to calculation ( used “sea” type vessels with average tonnage approx. 3000 m3) theoretical capacity of quay No.1 is 400 thousands m3 per year; theoretical capacity of quay No.4 also is up to 400 thousands m3 per year.

Quays No.1 and No. 4 are equipped with mobile hydraulic loading mechanisms that can load more than 200 m3 timber products per hour. Cargo from port and surrounding loading areas to quays are brought by motor transport.

In the port are two loading areas with space 45 000m2 which are intensively used. Several loading areas are located outside the territory of the port, distal of them – 6 km from port. Additional in the port it is possible to set up loading areas with space more than 8ha.

After year 2001-2003 reconstruction works and contracts with new stevedoring companies, port has expanded its activities and that reflects also in increase of cargo turnover. In year 2004 cargo amount reached 212 thousand tons - that is for 50% more compared to year 2003 and year 2002. (cargo amount respectively 143 thousands tons and 148 thousand tons) and that is also for 23% more than in year 2001 when cargo amount was only 173 thousands tons. In year 2005 port served 371 thousand tons of cargo and that is for 75% more than in year 2004.
After port reconstruction works port has substantially expanded its cargo assortment. In year 2004, additional to the main cargo – timber, port has started to perform also operations with loose cargo – ceramzit and peat. Starting from year 2005 port perform also operations with granite flinders.
In year 2003 loose cargo amount constituted 0% from total cargo amount, in year 2004 – 12% but in year 2005 loose cargo constituted already 36% from port total turnover. It is planned to increase lose cargo proportion to 50% from total cargo turnover.
