Yacht port

Yact port is located on the right side of Salaca river 200 m from VIA Baltica motorway. It can be seen driving over the bridge of Salaca river. Port is open for visitors. It is constructed with consideration that it will not disturb traffic and service of commerce vessels. After repair-deepening works in summer of the year 1999 at the moment yacht port quays can serve yachts with draft up to 2,5 m. Port is equipped with floating quay for 25 yachts.

Surrounding of the yacht port is nice looking and kept in order and that gives yacht port good visual impression. It is equipped with stairs and driveway that connect bluff with yacht quays. There is also a platform with a view of the sea, to yacht port and commercial part of the port.

Yachts at the quays can receive water and connect to electricity as well as, in case of necessity, fill up fuel. Yacht port is equipped with WC's and showers. In the port operates border guards and custom services.

Starting from year 2009 yacht port is administrated by “Kubs” Ltd. At the same time it is possible get information about recreation possibilities in the town and surrounding, hotels, shopping and other information. Salacgriva tourism information center (saltic@latnet.lv) has created NorthVidzeme tourism itineraries. In the Museum of Salacgriva can find information about the history and nowadays of Salacgriva district. Close to Salacgriva are located such sightseeing objects as seashore of Vitrupe, Red cliffs, at the banks of Svetupe - Livonian sacrifal caves and many other. In Salacgriva town are available all necessary services – shops, restaurants etc.

Salacgriva Port authority together with local authority of Salacgriva already several times has participated in PHARE supported project SUPPORTNET and additional to financial contribution in Salacgriva yacht port has been created Latvian yacht port data base www.latviancoast.lv This data base allow mariners more precisely manage their routes sailing in the Baltic sea and in the Gulf of Riga.
